Dinako Skateboard

Dinako, a local, and independent skateboard company, already has its design. The store offers items for skateboard enthusiasts and professionals, but it also offers clothing and accessories that the company produces on its own.

The Brand

Dinako is an independent brand that produces custom skateboards, based on the love for this sport and the quest to stand out. The brand philosophy is reflected in the interpretation of the values of youth, rebellion and freedom, both in the visual language and in the core values that form the basis of the company. In line with this, we created the branding.

Our Work

We designed Dinako's entire visual identity, which included the logo design, website and brand book, as well as the art direction of the photographs. The typographic and sober logo, with a simple, almost brutalist design, highlights the strong focus of its goal. The brand pays great attention to customization and functionality. The idea of a vibrant design with good contrast corresponds to the brand's aesthetic philosophy. The idea was to create a visual whole that represents the target audience.

The Process

The brand is represented by the balance between rebelliousness and practicality that reflects a young and confident spirit. We found a way to preserve this balance between color and seriousness by using low saturation, black and white, and specific color points that would highlight the characteristics of the brand.

Typography plays a very important role in reinforcing the idea of the brand. We defined a sans-serif typeface family, choosing two fonts with variations in size and weight to maintain a clear hierarchy within the elements.

The Result

Since the Dinako store offers a selection of products aimed at a youthful audience, the branding is vibrant and modern to consolidate the brand values in every aspect.
